Ah-meh u pyoke (tripe recipe from Myanmar)


1 kilogram of tripe
500 grams of rice
200 grams of seaweed
1 ginger root
1 stalk of lemongrass
1 bunch of cilantro
5 garlic cloves
5 onions
1 teaspoon of sugar
Soy bean sauce


In a big pot, add salt, sugar, ginger, garlic, onion, cooking oil and tripe. Stir well and sauté for ten minutes. When the onions turn transparent, add water, soy bean sauce, roasted rice powder, and seaweed. Cover the pot and cook it in the oven for one hour. Before serving, add chopped lemongrass and cilantro leaves.
